Add co-hosts or collaborators to an event

Use collaborators only when someone needs real access to help run the event, and keep attendee data access limited.

Audience

Hosts working with assistants, teachers, venue partners, or community teammates.

User need

I want another person to help manage the event without oversharing access.

Use this page when someone else helps run the event

Many events need more than one person: a co-teacher, door helper, venue partner, photographer, or community organizer.

Before adding access, decide what that person actually needs to do. A helper checking people in may not need payment settings or full attendee exports.

Add a collaborator carefully

1

Define the job

Decide whether the person needs to edit the event, manage attendees, check in guests, review questions, or only receive planning context.

2

Use collaborator controls

Open the event management area and use co-host or collaborator settings when your workflow needs shared event access.

3

Limit attendee data

Give access only to people who need attendee information to run the event.

4

Review before the event

Confirm who can access the event, attendee list, exports, check-in, payment information, or cancellation settings.

5

Remove access after the work is done

After the event, remove access that is no longer needed and clean up any shared attendee files.

Common collaborator jobs

Job
Likely access needed
Door helper
Check-in or attendee list access, but not necessarily editor or payment access.
Co-teacher
Event details, agenda, attendee questions, and maybe messaging context.
Venue partner
Arrival count, timing, accessibility notes, and logistics, not full account access.
Finance helper
Payment summary context, but sensitive Stripe access should stay controlled.

Access rule

Do not share your login to give someone event access. Use collaborator controls for shared access or coordinate with limited information.

FAQ

Can I share my account login with a helper?

No. Sharing login access is risky. Use collaborator controls for shared event access.

Should co-hosts see attendee data?

Only if they need it to run the event. Limit access to the operational need.

What if I only need light help from someone?

Coordinate with limited external information and avoid sharing full attendee exports unless necessary.
