Hosts migrating an event from another page, repeating a past event, or turning a public listing into a HereNow page.
I want to create an event page from an existing URL.
Use links as source material, not final truth
An existing link can help HereNow understand the event format, topic, audience, and tone. That is especially helpful when you are moving from another tool or repeating an event.
The source page may be old, incomplete, or written for a different registration flow. Treat imported content as a draft and check every operational detail.
Create from a link
Open the creation flow
Go to the event creation flow and choose the option to paste a source link.
Paste the public URL
Use a page that can be opened publicly or that you have permission to use. Private pages may not be readable.
Review the generated draft
Check whether the title, description, date, location, agenda, speakers, and attendee instructions match the current event.
Remove old or unsupported details
Delete stale dates, old sponsor notes, expired discount codes, sold-out messages, old platform copy, and unsupported claims.
Add HereNow registration settings
Set capacity, free RSVP or paid ticket rules, approval, waitlist, and custom questions for the new event page.
What to check after importing
Do not publish someone else's event as your own
Only use source links for events you host, co-host, or have permission to recreate. When in doubt, rewrite from your own plan instead of copying.
FAQ
Can I import a private event page?
Usually no. The creation flow works best with public pages. Do not paste pages that contain private or confidential details.
Can I reuse an event from another platform?
Yes if it is your event or you have permission. Replace old platform instructions with current HereNow registration settings.
Why did the draft miss some details?
Some pages block extraction, hide content behind scripts, or use unusual layouts. Add missing details manually before publishing.
